Scouts Are Cancelled Debuts on the Documentary Channel
Submitted by clelia on January 11, 2008 - 12:58pm
Scouts Are Cancelled is a feature-length documentary about poet, novelist, and filmmaker John Stiles. The documentary is directed by Stiles’ friend, John Scott, and the title of the film comes from Stiles’ book, Scouts Are Cancelled: Annapolis Valley poems and one short story, which was published by Insomniac Press in 2002. The documentary has received enthusiastic reviews from the Nova Scotia film critic Ron Foley-MacDonald (who claims it’s “one of the best literary biographies” he’s seen) and the New York Times. Scouts Are Cancelled debuts on the Documentary Channel January 11, 12, and 13 at 8:00 p.m. Related item from our archives |
