New stories by Lynn Coady and Sean Dixon on Joyland Website

Share |

Emily Schultz, author of Songs for the Dancing Chicken (ECW Press), and Brian Joseph Davis, author of I, Tania (ECW Press), recently launched a marvelous new website, Joyland: A Hub for Short Fiction. Schultz and Davis believe the short story "form is at its stylistic peak." The mandate for their site is to publish short stories by authors in specific locations: Toronto, Vancouver, New York and Los Angeles.

The page for each city has a different editor.

Schultz edits the Toronto page. The two stories currently online are "Clear Skies" by former Open Book Writer in Residence, Lynn Coady (Mean Boy, Anchor), and "For W.W." by Sean Dixon (The Girls Who Saw Everything, Coach House Books). Make sure to check out the fiction from the other cities as well.
