Kickstart in the News

Open Book's May Writers In Residence, Alexander Herman, Paul Matthews and Andrew Feindel, toured around Canada last month to promote their book, Kickstart: How Successful Canadians Got Started (Dundurn Press). You can read about the book tour in the authors' Open Book blog and in their Kickstart blog.
During the book tour, journalist Donna Nebenzahl wrote about Kickstart for the Montreal Gazette.
Her article was then picked up by the Vancouver Province, the Ottawa Citizen and The Telegram. Nebenzahl opens the article with an explaintion of why Kickstart is an absorbing read:
What could be more fascinating than finding out that as a university student, Home Depot Canada president Annette Verschuren earned an award for downing a beer in four seconds? Or, that she aced her first job interview by spending three days learning so much about the company that she came up with a turnaround plan?
