The Incongruous Quarterly Launch Issue

Share |

The first issue of The Incongruous Quarterly launches July 31st, 2010.

The Incongruous Quarterly prides itself on finding unpublishable - but never unreadable - literary gems that would otherwise gather dust.

"Created and run by young upstarts from Toronto and Montreal, guest-edited by some of the most respected names in Canadian writing, and featuring work by a diverse range of contributors (from bestselling authors to the previously unpublished), the Incongruous Quarterly is set to become one of the country’s most interesting, innovative and original magazines."

Issue Number One will feature:

Stories (mostly) on the theme of money, each guest-edited by Trillium- and ReLit-award-winning author Pasha Malla.

Poems on the theme of “the Graphic.” Guest-edited by acclaimed poet and ReLit award-winner Daniel Scott Tysdal.

and Kill Fee: Essays, articles, stories and art that were meant for – and cut from – publications from the New York Times to Daily News and Analysis India, from the Globe and Mail to the Believer. Created, compiled and guest-edited by author and founder of the Trampoline Hall lecture series Sheila Heti.
