The weekend is almost upon us…so why not take the opportunity to indulge your love of books and art with a visit to the AGO exhibit Canadian Art in the 1960s and 1970s Through the Lens of Coach House Press.

The AGO and Coach House have teamed up to bring together art, film, photography, posters and other ephemera from their vast archives, and the result is a veritable walk through time to Toronto's art scene of the 1960s and 70s. The installation reflects on the cultural currents of the times and the ways in which art was created and shared throughout the city and across the country. This unique exhibit — which includes a massive aerial photo of Toronto's downtown core circa 1967 — will run until February 16th.

For more information about the exhibit, including details about Coach House Press co-founder and master printer Stan Bevington's residency at the gallery, please visit the AGO's website.
