Stroll: Psychogeographic Walking Tours of Toronto

Share |

Coach House, 2010

I once had the pleasure of taking a psychogeography walk with Shawn Micallef, and it was some of the most fun I’ve ever had moving at a leisurely pace. While a large group of us were wandering around Old York, an elderly man emerged from his house to ask us what we were up to. We explained that we were just casually exploring on foot, and then he (and his wife too!) proceeded to give us an impromptu — and quite enjoyable — lecture on his neighbourhood. In Stroll, Shawn’s prose is inviting, sweetly meandering and full of love for all of Toronto.
